Everstead: Launching a new Brand Identity


The challenge

To unlock future growth, Funeral Safe needed to move beyond its single-category focus on funeral finance. The ambition was to expand into other key life moments – such as urgent medical and dental care, legal support and home improvements. This required a completely new name, strategy and digital presence that could work equally well for B2B distribution partners and end consumers.

The approach

We began with a period of consultancy to uncover insight from both sides of the market. Partners were losing customers who couldn’t afford to pay upfront for essential or planned services, while consumers lacked clear, trusted finance options when they needed them most. Using these insights, we built a brand strategy, identity and digital platform designed to support distinct but aligned customer and partner propositions.

  • We explored and validated a new umbrella brand, including name development, trademark screening and domain availability. This led to Everstead – a market-neutral name combining “ever”, representing continuity and long-term support, with “stead”, rooted in stability, grounding and security. Together, the name signals a brand that stands firm when people need it most.
  • We created a new brand identity that balances financial credibility with warmth, signalling responsibility, trust and empathy.
  • We developed clear reasons-to-believe, including proof points around customer volumes, speed, compliance, service and Trustpilot performance.
  • We designed UX and content strategies for both audiences:
    • The partner site focused on onboarding, ease of offering finance, compliance reassurance and commercial benefits.
    • The customer site focused on understanding, reassurance, affordability and speed of access.
  • We delivered two fully designed and built websites in HubSpot, integrated with CRM, optimised to build confidence and generate leads at key decision moments.
  • Finally, we equipped the business with scalable brand assets, messaging and templates to support ongoing sales, partnerships and expansion.

The results

The new brand name, identity and dual websites repositioned Funeral Safe from a funeral-only lender to a broader purpose-specific financing partner, creating a scalable platform for future category expansion.
